Women Taking Financial Control
A Financial Management Workshop Created Specifically For Women

Many women have been led to believe that financial independence is beyond their reach or understanding, either because they lack the required knowledge, or they earn less than their male colleagues, or their marital status precludes it. However, true financial independence has much more to do with taking control of whatever financial resources you already have.

This course is designed to assist women in making better, more informed decisions about their personal finances. Topics such as Cash Management, Risk Management, Taxes, Investments, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning will be explained in terms that are easy to understand.

Other topics we will discuss during the two evening sessions will deal with establishing and maintaining financial independence following divorce, death of a spouse and a job loss.

Your instructor will assist you in evaluating your current financial plan, choosing a financial professional, and developing a sound strategy for making the most of your personal assets.

You are sure to feel comfortable attending this class in a friendly, ladies-only environment.

Saving for College With a ‘529 Plan’
A “529 Plan” is a Great Way to Save for Your Children’s Education!

Section 529 college savings plans have been around for several years. Thanks to the Economic Growth and Tax Relive Reconciliation Act of 2001, they are more flexible than a prepaid tuition plan, offer more control than a custodial account and have higher contribution limits than many other tax-deferred saving programs.

By taking this course you will learn how to accurately calculate the cost of attending college, and how to evaluate the various funding options available to you.

You will also learn sound strategies for taking advantage of 529 college savings plans.
